In our busy lives it’s sometimes hard to put a face to the suffering endured by millions of people in poor communities overseas in their battle against these infectious diseases. But this year more than seven million people will die from The ‘Big Three’ many of them children. The ‘Big Three’ are preventable diseases and yet every 30 seconds a child dies from malaria and every second someone new is infected with TB. More than two million people died from AIDS last year.
